As a professional mezzosoprano with 20 years of experience, opera singing is simply the repertoire that I’m most passionate, cultivated and involved about. It is my job, my life, and partially my love life.
I particularly enjoy teaching the basics, starting from zero, but of course I have also met many singers that were already novices.
I have equally taught to a lot of young singers preparing their auditions to colleges and conservatori, as well as to many people interested into learning more about this ancient art form, simply for the fun of it.
Some other student came to me to get help in Italian diction applied to singing, as they always got feedback to get better at that in their auditions and couldn’t figure out why, as they were tipically already having Italian classes. Well, speaking and singing in a language are not the same thing, and there is a lot more to this subject than one would initially imagine.
